TWILIGHT MUSING

Dark nights
Of late seem longer than usual
No sleep
No slumber,
But open sparkling eyes watchful of,
 A sky,
So exceptional.
Out of the ordinary, dark blue sky
Vibrant with stars,
No moon,
Though a comforting panorama
So peaceful, so sweet,
So gentle the effect
Delicately felt from up my head,
To the last toes of my feet.
It’s a beautiful night indeed,
To have, to hold
Echo of avowals repeatedly told.
A night,
To stare into your eyes
Watch every aspect of your love unfold.
It is a night,
To gaze at your beauty as you get your sleep
I smile at my view
So precious, so dear and all so true
It’s the night, the one of many nights,
I sit and look up… thanking God for my most precious Gem…
Baby, I simply thank God for giving me you.

THE WHISPERS BEFORE THE SHOUT

Hey you! 😃 Has anyone checked in on you today? Or better still have YOU checked on you today, or lately? If not, well then this is a reminder to do so; to create time in your schedule to hold your heart, mind, body and soul as an offering to God in prayer and allow it to be searched, comforted, and mended so that you can operate wholly and holy. Quarter one of 2025 is coming to an end; a palpable shift hangs in the air with testimonies within it being starkly different. For some, the journey has been a smooth glide, a serene cruise through calm waters. For others, they are overwhelmed by life having launched into a sprint at the beginning of the year; and now, they are finding themselves breathless amidst a landscape of boundless potential. I discovered something interesting lately; while many of us are knowledgeable of the truth and necessity of slowing down, there is a fear and guilt attached to this God ordained activity called rest. We are afraid to rest because we fear that if we...

TOO MUCH

Why is it so easy to say I’m fine? Hardly do you ever think about it, Effortlessly, it slides from between your lips. Especially, When all that lies around you is witness to the total opposite. Seasons really never last forever, There are those when the party just won’t stop Then others when silence invades, the kind like pin drop. A silence to kill or a silence to heal, A silence that kills, echoes various unheard voices, Screaming piercingly on the inside... The result... is a temporary brain freeze. Silence that heals fabricates unheard melodies, Calm, gentle that are soothing to the soul. I then wonder and it dawns... this is just too much Or is it?   Do I fear too much? Do I care too much? Do I worry too much? Do I question too much? Do I think too much? Do I foresee too much? Do I trust so much? And if I do, will I hurt, just a little too much? Do I wonder too much? Do I give too much? Do I expect too much? Have I love...

THROUGH THE LENS OF GRACE

This right here is a post I wrote on my wall a few days back… “I am probably going to be hated for saying this but for real it has to be addressed. It is sad and rather painful that of late, the trend has been, to celebrate more Baby showers BEFORE we celebrate Bridal showers. Where did we go wrong?” It doesn’t take a one-on-one appointment to have someone open up about their past. Try make a statement in relation to it and you will probably witness a side to them you never thought existed. It will then dawn on you that not everyone who has a glimmering smile on their face, a drop-dead gorgeous body and attractive personality, has been like that from the beginning.   There’s been a growing trend of more baby showers before bridal showers. Many have said its normal, others have said it’s worrying; others have insisted it’s the last days and we need to repent and turn from our wicked ways. In as much as I agreed, I was convinced I hadn’t yet received an appropriate a...
